The Montmorency Cherry is a very popular medium to large-sized cherry tree with a rounded shape and upright, spreading branches. This tree produces intense, persistent fruit perfect for pies and jams. It typically grows 12-18 feet tall and 20 feet wide at maturity. The tree does best in full sun and well-drained soil. It requires good pruning to produce a good crop of cherries.
